How do you make time for each other during the busy season? We don’t get to do a lot during the busy season. Our time together usually consists of going out to eat and grocery shopping. We try to have at least one or two date nights during the summer.
What is the most difficult part of being married to a Man of Turf? Feeling like a single parent for 9 months out of the year can be rough. Feeling like my boys don’t get to spend as much time as they should with their daddy is difficult too. I know he hates that part also.
What is the best part of being married to a Man of Turf? Knowing that I am married to someone who works very hard for his family and teaches our boys that taking pride in your work is a good thing. I’m sure I could get free golf if I wanted, but since neither me nor Steve golf, it doesn’t do us much good.
Would you encourage your children to follow in their father’s footsteps? Why or why not? I encourage my children to do what makes them happy. However if I am being honest, for the sake of their future wives and children I’d say maybe they should pick a more family friendly career.
Is the job ever a source of tension in your house? Sometimes, usually when he is stressed out and is grouchy. For the most part we have gotten used to this life and things go smoothly.
What do you do for you? How do you make sure you are taken care of? I love to scrapbook. My sister and some of our friends get together and scrapbook when we can. It’s fun and in the end I have something great to keep forever.
